Day #1

Day #3

After your artistic and cultural activities in the city center, recharge amidst the dense forests of the second largest urban forest in Central Europe. Pack your bags at the historic Hotel Bankov in the recreational zone of Bankov, steeped in mining history. Enjoy its large summer terrace, children’s playground, and play ping pong or petanque with the kids. The hotel can even prepare a picnic or barbecue basket filled with goodies upon request–all that’s left is to embark on a walk around the area.

Spend your afternoon in Čermeľské Valley with an experiential ride on the historic Children’s Railway Košice, which has been operating a 4.2-kilometer route since the 1950s. Try out the new handcar track with the kids and for a moment, become a real switchman or guide!

If you crave a day in the park near the city center, don’t miss visiting Anička Area, where you can play mini golf, visit animals at the mini zoo, or have fun on the playgrounds, maze, or trampoline. Day #4

One day of your visit to Košice should definitely be reserved for the legendary Košice adventure in the district of Kavečany, where you will discover ZOO Košice. This zoo is home to 300 species of animals and 1800 individuals, with natural enclosures comparable to the largest in Slovakia. During your visit, enjoy beautiful views of the Kavečany hills and have the opportunity to observe animal feedings. Don’t miss the DinoPark, where you can admire replicas of ancient dinosaurs. For those seeking an unusual experience, there’s the option to sleep in wooden tents in the zoo–who wouldn’t want to sleep among wolves?

Enjoy the commented feedings of seals, penguins, and meerkats, experiences in the popular 5D cinema in DinoPark, and recharge in the restaurant directly on-site. After lunch, reserve time for a wild ride with twists and turns on the Bobovka bobsled track, located right before the entrance to the zoo. Bobovka offers a thrilling ride with nine curves and three tunnels on an 800-meter track. Hold on tight!
